Description

Musa basjoo, commonly known as Japanese banana tree, is a species of plant belonging to the banana family (Musaceae). It is native to the temperate regions of Japan and has become popular in many other countries due to its hardiness and ability to grow in colder climates.

This plant can grow to heights of 3 to 5 meters, and in optimal conditions, it can even reach 6 meters. The leaves of Musa basjoo are large and fan-shaped. They are deep green in color and have a smooth texture. The leaves are long and broad, with prominent veins, and create a lush, tropical appearance.

One of the most outstanding characteristics of Musa basjoo is its resistance to cold compared to other banana species. It can tolerate temperatures below freezing and even light frost.
