Schefflera

Description

The Schefflera, known scientifically as Schefflera arboricola or Schefflera actinophylla is a popular houseplant that is also grown outdoors in suitable climates. It is native to Australia, New Guinea and some regions of Southeast Asia.

It is a shrub or small tree with bright green compound leaves that are usually divided into leaflets. The leaves usually have between 7 and 9 leaflets, which gives it an elegant and exuberant appearance. This plant can grow to heights of up to several meters (indoors a more manageable height by pruning and trimming).

Schefflera is mainly grown as a houseplant because of its beauty and ease of care. It is a popular choice for offices and homes. In addition, in regions with warm climates, it can be grown in gardens and landscapes as a shrub or ornamental tree.
